Prayers to Tu'er & a Bodhi leaf at the Temple of the Golden mount is bringing down homophobic pastors by the dozens.
So far 23 homophobic pastors are in disgraced and resigning, many arrested and it just keeps happening.
Subscriptions are free.
These are the disgraced pastors recently resigning or arrested or just disappearing off websites.
The number of scandals and how frequently they come in the Dallas area has even astonished the New York Times, Oct. 4, 2024, “Around Dallas, the Church Scandals Seem to Have No End.” This is a share link and not behind a paywall.
Except for #21 below, they either have a record of homophobia, their church has a record of homophobia, or their denomination.
I have to keep a spread sheet and check it daily to keep up.
The local major daily, the Dallas Morning News, has been reporting some of them, but they omit that they are serious homophobes. I have been doing posts in Dallas Gay Liberation about their homophobia. It is the spirit of another one bites the dust.
Researching these churches take time, sometimes their homophobia is stealth or what I call the New Homophobia.
Prayer to the Taoist Gay God Tu’er in Taipei, Taiwan.
I offered this prayer in Oct. 2023. Note prayer #5, “Defeat those who seek to persecute us.”
Papers that will be burned with my prayer.
The papers to be burned are wrapped in a special paper. My street address is removed.
The prayer is on the table of the main god of the temple.
Then after incense and prayers, I did a prayer to Tu’er at his alter.
At Guandu Temple in one of the room I gave a prayer for the LGBT in Dallas.
The temple went up into the sky and was all around me. This is just a part.
In one of the side temples, there were many many images, I gave a prayer to Mazu to protect us. She had an expression that she was patient with the wayward and so I felt an empathy.
This was the temple room.
It was high up. This is looking out the window.
At the Temple of the Golden Mount in Thailand.
I wrote on a Bodhi leaf for the safety of the LGBT in Dallas.
I was at the temple of the Golden Mount in Bangkok.
For a very small donation you get a bodhi leaf to write on.
Then you hang it on this fixture.
A prayer given at another temple.
I didn’t do a prayer on paper here, but the people were really friendly and guided me through the procedure. I was going to try to get paper for a prayer, but I don’t speak Thai.
This was a section of a Buddhist temple. It looks like a Taoist temple in Taiwan.
The above was a part of a building in this complex. This is the entry way.
This is the view of just one part of the complex.
This is another view and the Taoist part is on the right behind the telephone pole.
Summary
I keep thinking that the church scandals will be over, but I wake up and read the news online and there is another pastor being arrested, or resigning, or their info being removed from a church page.
I am going to have to make a directory post in the Dallas Gay Liberation newsletter, with just a series of links to the reports I have done.
Hopefully there will be dozen more arrests and resignations!
These are the victories the Dallas LGBT had after Oct. 2023 returning from Taipei.
After returning from Thailand homophobic pastors are resigning or being arrested or disappearing one right after another.
The Excel sheet at the beginning of this article is just what has happened since I returned. I am faling behind on reporting on these persons. I have to do research to document their homophobia, of either the person, their church, or denomination. Since in some cases there has already been one resignation from their church, I can reuse some of the research materials.
Some of the churches are not upfront about being homophobic and so you have to really research. They want to welcome LGBT, but it is for the LGBT to stop being LGBT.
The local major daily, the Dallas Morning News, seems to be doing a black out on reporting some of these scandals starting about a week about. Also, they aren’t asking questions.
A Marvin Scales, staff member of some church in Waxahachie, Texas was arrested, but none of the news media would say which church he was from.
Background information posts.
So much beautiful prayers. 💖🙏
